NPD: vintage Lauriepedals

Post by laurie » Sun Jun 27, 2021 9:45 pm

Last week I was contacted by one of the very first people who supported my pedal manufacturing madness locally.

He is in the process of minimising his house, preparing to retire... and he wondered if I would like the pedals that I made for him 10 years ago back for the collection. He has moved from electric to acoustic, so he could foresee no need for them.

Well, YES !!

Clockwise from top left:
  • Special dual FDD/SQO
  • GHF Serial #3
  • Special HZD - always on, with A/B output switching (to select between two amps)
  • Special dual FDD/BSD
These will go into the Laurie Museum.

I remember the two special double pedals. Very cool to see them again. :)

You guys have better memories than me! I didn't remember them until he showed me...

There are few things in the museum already - all the prototypes (some very dodgy), a couple of early versions that never made it into "production" (e.g. the BLF Blue Light Fuzz), plus one of each production type. Now these.

I've been debating buying one of these at the local pawn store to put them all on:

But it needs velcro on the pedals for it to work, and that's not OK.

Maybe I'll just buy a display case.

I'm at the point of building a set of 6' high shelves maybe 4" deep that will sit on the floor and screw into the wall. The cupboard is ok but im getting tired of moving boxes to get at other boxes behind. I like to keep things in boxes, but I don't want them stacked more than one deep

Laurie, If you are contemplating something in a pedal train size case, why not just fit out a case that size with (padded/lined) partitions, customised to your museum collection
