Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals
Nice! Is this your first FDD? I really love mine, especially with my vintage Hammond-type organ.
My model is #281 and I'm very sure it was built by Laurie. So should be yours.

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals
No, not my first, its #2 for me - I've been very slowly laying in backups of the ones that are important to me (3 x BSD, 2 x SQO, 2 x FDD, 2 x LGP, and watching patiently for the right VFZ)
I might try stacking the FDDs, how many people can say they've tried that

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals
Needed a new chorus pedal... Found this at the local Cash Converters for USD$50.
Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals
Think you might have got a bit of a bargain there Laurie
How does it compare to the Boss chorus pedals (my only real point of reference)?

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals
I got it cheap because it didn't look like that when I bought it... had to disassemble it and spend some time with a toothbrush and soap plus solvents to get the gunk off it.
It sounds good. Maybe like a CE-5? But better I think?

Well, it’s scrubbed up well
Is it digital or analogue?
Edit: it’s analogue.

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals
My 16th Hotone Skyline pedal arrived today: the "Golden Touch". It is said to be a TS-808 type overdrive. Normally I'm not a Tubescreamer guy, but this one sounds really nice. It was brand new and sealed. I bought it at eBay from a British shop that has still two of them.
I don't know how a TS-808 does normally sound, but in the normal mode the Golden Touch has a huge low-end loss. With the WARM button the low-end is added plus a distinct gain boost. Very cool design this way.

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals
The business model for Hotone is fascinating... "make pedals as small as possible".
If you ever have them all out I'd be interested to see a pic of them in a group
