With being in the right location, I have over the years been lucky enough to have sampled a fair few of the Maxon "01"/"02" series.
Pepe is certainly right with the build quality remarks. In general, the weighty heft is the same as the earlier 9 series, just the switch is revised and the lines squared off of the casing. about 50% more weight than a compact BOSS pedal.
The weight tended to put me off picking them up initially and much like the Ibanez Power and Master series the number of models is quite overwhelming - though I believe they do diverge and, in many instances, have no equivalents between the two brands.
Some fly under the radar, unlike the Ibanez equivalents. The Modulation Delay is a shining example with its green/blue Ibanez brothers being sought after, in three versions.)
Here is Effects Database list, Bold being those I have kept. I was gutted to see a Spectrum slip through my hands a while back - that's as hard to find as the BOSS. I regret selling the wonderfully named "Rock n' Roll" a while back too. I also had the delays at one time which have the very nice feature of very clearly marked delay time modes/notches.
Although this is the database list I personally would separate into the 01s and 02s. I don't think they were all concurrent.

As a final thought, my other mild gripe of the Ibanez, and to a much lesser degree with the "01" series, is there's something in the buffering that I can hear. A hi-fi nature perhaps? A thin-ness, a bit "plastic-y" nature. The TS-10 is a prime example, and I'd swear I can close my eyes and hear the difference with the 09s etc. I've not studied the circuitry, but something related to switching buffering I suspect.
Overall, a pleasing and occasionally mysterious range, I may dip into a few more, prices are on the rise here in Japan (for everything).
P.S I did send the PT-01 in a tour once upon a time. Nice pedal - a PT-9 of later years.
