Very slowly
Many things in life have overtaken my time, but I should have more time in 2025.
I don't know where time goes these days. Have plans and then the next thing I know my daughters are talking about Christmas again
Glad to hear you're still planning to develop them.

Seeing this now reminds me that the BOSS ODB-3 works similarly. In that case I really disliked that the clean signal got affected by the 2-way EQ as well. The ODB-3's overdrive sounds so harsh if you don't tame the highs
a lot. This always resulted in a completely muffled sounding clean signal. I had rather liked it with a clean blend that doesn't affect the tone of the original signal.
Maybe you want to try out if your overdrive concept sounds better with the EQ option for the clean sound or if it is better with the Mixer after the EQ that only shapes the effect sound.
Maybe, if it doesn't over complicate things, have a switch for the clean signal to bypass the EQ stage if it's not working with your particular tone?

That's what I thought as well.

This design allows for anything from 100% clean boost to 100% overdrive, with infinite blend possibility. Like a Klon, but you have control over the clean blend instead of it being "built in" (using a dual gang pot) in the Klon.

Cool insight to the ODB3. I have always run the treble and gain pretty low to get what I wanted out of it. When it was my primary bass dirt (in the later 90s/early 00s), I also tended to use cabinets with horns/tweeters, and also ran the horn/tweeter level pretty high. Perhaps the lower treble setting on the pedal was compensated a bit in the cab?
I have an Origin Effects Halcyon Gold, which is a Klon-adjacent drive pedal. It also has an independent clean blend knob. Now I will have to go check it out and see if the tone control affects the clean blend signal.

I'll be interested to hear about that.

So the clean signal of the Halcyon is affected by the tone control.
Perhaps that's a guitar thing?
For bass, I prefer the clean to be untouched by EQ.

That was the biggest gripe I had with the MXR bass DI+ too. The dirty channel would always be effected by a built-in midscoop that you couldn't turn off.
It sounds horrible, bass is lost in the mix, etc. Shame really, because otherwise it would be a great pedal.
Nowadays I really like the design of the EBS Billy Sheehan drive. It has 2 volume controls rather than a blend, so it's more like a mini 2 channel mixer to blend the parallel signals. With a single blend control, I find you turn away clean signal if you turn up the drive and vice versa. I just want 'em both
