If you've known me across the three iterations of these forums, you know I've opined on the necessity of someone doing an AM radio coupled dirt pedal. To date, the industry has not come knocking on my door with offers of sponsorship and investment to create such a device

Well, these guys have done one, and gone one step further - they use a transformer to boost a guitar input to high enough voltage to drive the discharge of a plasma tube to generate the RF, and recover the signal via an AM antenna. And you know what? It sounds pretty darn good to me!

I feel vindicated after all these years. Maybe a bit fulfilled and complete now too. Actualized. Actually.
