Picked up one of these for a reasonable price a few weeks ago. 1989 (series 1) Eric Clapton Signature. The output from the active electronics is insane!

Nice. The other guitarist in my first band had a black one of those. I think the Lace sensors sound quite a bit better in those due to the electronics.

WOW!
That's the coolest of the Claptons! 1st issue 7-UP green!
The mid boost circuit is my go-to for a guitar with singles. You get all the range of tones, from chime to push.
I use a few different mid boosts on my guitars. The original Fender MDX circuit is stock on my 84 Elite Strat, EMG SPC with SA set on a 87 American Standard Strat and with a T set on the 88 American Standard Tele, Demeter MB1 on an 84 Ibanez RS430, Jackson JE1200 on a baritone Strat partscaster. My Elite MDX is my preference. It's not crazy hot like the Clapton version. The Clapton revision added extra output gain to the circuit and a touch more midboost gain, too. Ya gotta turn the volume down a couple notches to get an output level that is more typical to a Strat.
