Saw a Craig's List post today that was titled "Boss Para EQ $60." No pictures, no further description.
I contacted the seller asking if it was a PQ4. (I picked up a PQ3B not long ago and really like it)
Fingers crossed, hoping for a score...
Seller wrote back...
"It's a GE7"
Oh well.

Re: Won a Jonassus Drive!
It is a well done pedal. Solid build, really nice tones.
I am extra happy it has green knobs, my favorite color!

Won a Jonassus Drive!
It was a giveaway from Premier Guitar in October. Just got it delivered last week (!)... Well, it's well worth the wait, it has two "channels" that can be configured either low or high gain, asymmetrical diode, symmetrical diode, or LED clipping. Sounds really great. If it will fit, it will replace ...

Re: New Pedal - TR-2
I agree but from a manufacturing POV, it makes sense because they can be made faster and cheaper. A shame, but that's the economies of scale for you. Boss are a mass market pedal manufacturer and so have to keep their costs within a certain range. Would the average (whatever that is) guitarist want...

BF-2B output a little weak.
I recently got a green label May '88 BF-2B bass flanger. It sounds great, but it is kind of sucking some gain and tone, even when bypassed.
Is there a usual suspect/component to check for this?

Re: Single owner pedals
Your answers make me feel young... Being that I started playing bass in the 2001, I own a 2003 DD-3 that I still have. It is the only one I've never sold. I've owned a couple of ODB-3s (which was the first effect pedal I ever got), a few CEB-3 and GEB-7, but the DD-3 is the only one that's been the...

Re: Single owner pedals
My only single owner BOSS is the TU12H I got new in 1983/4. I also got a PSM5, SD1, DF2, CE3, BF2, DD2 and BCB60 that same day, but sold those all off, but still have a couple of the boxes left from them.

Re: PH-3 feedback?
I do like and own the PH1 and PH2. These two cover the gamut of phaser tones pretty well. The PH1 is the classic old school 4 stage sound, much like a Phase 90 or Small Stone (which I also own original 70s era versions). The PH2 is cool for the deeper, funky 12 stage sound, much like my old MuTron P...
