Re: BOSS serial number decoder

I can’t find anywhere that can decode the current serials. All of the Waza (and B50) have production dates in the future.

Re: New Boss IR-2 Amp & Cabinet

Put in the order for one. Had to. I really want to have a nice, usable Marshall-type thing for my amp sim pedal. Plus, I want it to be simple to set up, mostly by having a headphone jack. The IR2 has a LOT of settings/platforms, all very useful, and there are a few flavors of Marshall/Marshall adja...

Re: Klone

Glad to hear it worked out after your fine tuning and fixes.
Very nicely built, as expected!
After owning a Klone, it makes sense why they are so popular.

Re: New BOSS pedals!

So... Santa Claus gave me (read: I bouthg myself and wrapped myself) a brand spanking new DC-2w. I missed that lushious sound too much and even with the DC-2w price, it's less expensive than most DC-2 available out there. DC2W is a very cool pedal, and the price is soooo much better than an origina...

Re: Notaklon kit anyone?

Looked seriously at the notaklon kit. Ended up buying one of these: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0112G0MX0/ It hasn't arrived yet. Will let you know what it is like once I've received it and built it. That's a good deal! Even if you let it sit for a couple weeks, you will be playing yours long...

Re: Waza G12W Speaker, anyone?

Yep. I like Scorpions, but they are pretty rolled off on the high end, for sure.

Waza G12W Speaker, anyone?

So, a local store had a Katana Artist that had it’s cab semi destroyed by UPS handling. They decided it was not worth trying to fix and were going to trash it. I asked if I could grab a couple things off of it. “Help yourself, it’s going in the trash.” …music to my ears I grabbed what I could pull i...

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals

Now that I have 20+ of them from that era, I think a number of them are severely under-rated and under-appreciated. So true. DOD had some great sounding pedals. The typical issue of a missing battery cover is sort of a design flaw. However, like all things that were initially seen as the 'affordabl...

Thanks for the confirmation. I had been very surprised to hear that they used through hole component boards for this anniversary series.
It would be really cool if they did. I get it, not the best way to build a lot of pedals efficiently.

Here's the 'special' decals and such. https://uniim1.shutterfly.com/render/00-0bRNyLnJL0pZOju37gIGvAJPjGm5zan3rARPapS3bn0z4tZn2hpJaGZNA58le5YhVZV51t4MhjbEwRNyGscOgg?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1702629008 Here's the 2023 vs 1983. 40 years apart in age, about 98% the same sound. Especially to my forgivi...
