Re: Silver screw vs backplate

I remember reading about that long time ago, can't remember where. It's said that Boss changed the screw but had a lot of labels with the "open with a coin" text in stock, so they continued to ship them out. Took a look at my pedals and saw that my SD-1s are mostly with the "coin" text, from the fir...

Re: Boss SD-1 with JCR4558D "black pins"???

Thank you very much Laurie.

I never saw a thing like that before.

Even though the IC solders looks untouched, I was afraid it could be a replaced fake opamp.

Boss SD-1 with JCR4558D "black pins"???

I just received from Japan a SD-1 with the JCR4558D chip and, as the pictures can tell, the IC pins are painted flat black, does anyone have ever seen one like that? There are marks of re-soldering, but they are from 2 transistors, the chip solders seems unmolested. I took this first picture, the se...

Re: A new Wazacraft pedal is on the way

It's the original font of the Tone Bender mkII: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/uP4feYJFWQR0fKRuQxqWp80hNWbNT_wFWyl3s8Kx4Yy9dd5DlVYWQZ-NCZxMVU9lDR5k9H_upXJQf8LLrRrFwIMz-g4O2NB_N5KQ-suLHrLlEdIbxqQaXKXT7yRTeUXTA8alOUo Yes I know that..but it looks really weird on a Boss enclosure To me, every...

Re: A new Wazacraft pedal is on the way

Waza Craft should be a guarantee for a Made in Japan BOSS pedal. I think that's a good thing. Agreed, but it breaks the line that has been of re-releasing their own pedals. Now, any new pedal can be a waza craft. With waza craft prices... :( Before this one, I thought the waza craft line would fini...

Re: A new Wazacraft pedal is on the way

Yep, a Tone Bender. Nice, very nice. After the release of the chicken knobs picture, I was convinced it would be some sort of a Tone Bender. The voltage switch is a surprise, kinda like the transistors bias knob of the Butler Tube driver, but with fixed positions. Clever. Seven volts to si...

Re: Let's see those pedalboards!

Thank you Doc, and yes it is a Behringer PB1000, note that I painted that rail cover in flat black so the Boss pedals won't feel ashamed.    that’s brilliant ! I’m thinking of getting one of these boards. It's nice as a pedalboard for home use, but a bit heavy, specially after ...

Very cool. Great job in building it, executed very well.

Did you make the circuit board yourself?

Thank you tunghaichuan.

Yes, that's the truly DIY part of it, the rest is just assembling. ;)

Re: Let's see those pedalboards!

It changes from time to time, but this is my current toy:

The upper part is a strait forward stereo output line, the lower line has 2 good tricks I will discuss it in another post.
