Re: Foul-smelling vintage BOSS pedals
Is it the circuit board perhaps? I can't imagine a metal enclosure smelling... You could leave it outside for a while, preferably without the bottom, but make sure to put it inside again when it rains  Unless you're going for the "bottom of the ocean" look like somebody's CE-3 here many years a...

Re: Show us your "back-line"
That is quite an impressive collection Zentropa.
I've currently been really liking a band called Asomvel who carry as much Marshall stacks on stage as the venue will allow spacewise

Boss FC-50
Yes, I had this posted in the wrong forum, didn't I? Anyway, since it's a Boss product, I thought I'd post it here. I scored an FC-50 locally to control my Marshall JMP-1 preamp, which was another local score for a decent price. The DRP-1 I was using previously sounded horrible no matter which...

Re: Thoughts on a good compressor??
The design would be too outlandish for me, but I like where it's going, Laurie.
Consider that having the threshold on an internal trim will only work if you only ever use a single instrument. If you have a 2nd guitar that's louder for example, you'd want to adjust the threshold.

Re: Thoughts on a good compressor??
I'd say try the TC electronic Hypergravity and tweak to your liking using their Toneprint editor software. The pedal has usb and the software is downloadable for free from TC's website, or try one of their many artist's toneprints. If you like a bit simpler, the MXR studio compressor is a great peda...

Re: Let's see those pedalboards!
I went to a jam seession a few months back - a small bar, tiny stage. A Reggae hippie chap turned up with a pallet, and actual massive unapinted wooden pallet for forklifts, with at least 4 rows of pedals. It took up more than half the stage! All I heard was the DD-3 and the wah!  ...

Re: Let's see those pedalboards!
I see people show up with huge pedalboards, both guitarists and bass players by the way, and I know from the start that (a They're not gonna use half of it, and (b when they do hit a pedal, their sound doesn't change! "I only use this pedal for one song", my advice? Leave it at home  ...
