Picked this up yesterday at the local thrift store for USD$24. Absolutely unmarked, still with front label. Works perfectly.
This will be my new workshop amp.

Re: NPD EQ-200
I've had GE-7, GE-7B, GE-6, MXR 10 band EQ, Boss GE-10, and a Chinese (Caline) 10 band EQ that is a similar to the MXR 10 band EQ.
The EQ-200 "eats them all for breakfast". Tone/sound quality and flexibility. So much so, I'm on the lookout for another one.

Re: NPD EQ-200
HNPD, Laurie! What made you opt for the EQ-200 over a GE-7? Was it the greater tweakability with the 10 band EQ, extra functionality (presets, midi control etc), something else? 10 band and presets. I have an EHX B9 that likes a specific EQ curve and level to work properly, and those settings don't...

Re: Electrolytic capacitors - a perspective
I've just been through this process again... repairing an Ibanez SDGR bass for someone locally. It came to me with "no sound". The SDGR has active electronics - well, kinda. The tone controls are passive and the opamp is used to buffer the pickups and drive the output. The issue was the 10uF output ...

Re: Electrolytic capacitors - a perspective
My 30 year old Blues Deluxe is in for a major 100,000 km service at the moment. My guy said the capacitors still are all good and not leaking but that it can only be a matter of time. He said (if I heard him right) that the ones Fender used were cheap horrible ones that probably cost 50 cents if th...

Re: KORG KPH-401 Phaser stereo modification
This was a tricky one to solve. Pepe and I went back-and-forth via email for months before I gave up and asked if he could send them. Another one of those times when having the pedal in front of me with the scope was the only way to figure things out. I'm very glad we could piggy-back on the Christm...
