Re: Boss Circuit Variants

The early PS-2 models have a very noisy sound. Nothing great to hunt down an early model. My unit suffered from it and it sounds so much better after the official modification that is described in the service manual. Here are pictures of my PS-2: www.instagram.com/p/CQFtGpNn6wd/ www.instagram.com/p...

Re: BCB-6G?

I think I've mentioned it elsewhere here but indeed a big fan of the 6G - I've seen a mere 1 here in Japan! And I bought it :D

Much better with the deeper cutouts to fit PN-2s etc.

Re: New BOSS pedals!

Had a little adventure into the "big black smoke" a week or so back towards Tokyo and popped by a few shops prior to a beer festival. And with such frothy heady thoughts bubbling I splurged on one of these, as the price was very good and I was in the mood! Surprisingly it wasn't the FZ-1W!  As much ...

Re: New (broken) pedal day!

Absolutely! I'd sometimes walk out of a store expecting a staff member to come running after me after "realising their mistake!" given some of the vintage bargains I picked up. and each moment is ingrained in the memory. I have a hard time now thinking where or when I have obtained various items sin...

Re: New (broken) pedal day!

Thank you - and also thanks a lot for the always interesting anecdotes! 8-) haha - you're welcome. Those formative days of pedal hunting were quite special, and the memories are very much ingrained in the consciousness. I can remember vividly the sense of expectation going to grab the CE-2. I had a...

No, you shouldn't. BOSS could call it the "Noise Stacker".

Re: New BOSS pedals!

This RDD-20 Micro Rack unit arrived last week. I managed to purchase it for a very fair price. Basically this is the BOSS DD-2 in rack format, but with a few changes. http://www.pepemusic.de/pics/sbz/rdd-20_01.jpg It really surprised me that the maximum delay time is 400ms and not 800ms as in the D...

Re: New BOSS pedals!

It had been a while to pick up some new BOSS, but through some drawn out wheeler dealing I managed to acquire two unobtanium (previously to me) sought after items. (1) BOSS SG-1 Slow Gear (2) Solasound Boss TB-2 Tone Bender Weirdly it hasn't sort of hit me yet that they are in my hands, perhaps beca...

Re: New (broken) pedal day!

What a great effort Pepe! Must be satisfying. I had a PH-1 in Aus circa 2011, couldn't believe my luck finding it for $50 in cash converters (missing a knob), but then my signal kept clipping/distorting. I knew very little about circuitry then and it kept bugging me thinking "somethings broken in th...
