Re: New Waza-Craft pedal: BP-1W Booster Preamp
Oh interesting switch on the back for vintage vs modern buffer. I wonder why no TB? Unless I am reading that wrong and that is the former?

Re: New Waza-Craft pedal: BP-1W Booster Preamp
Yes, quite surprised to have numerous YT-ers pop up last night with their videos with this little beauty. Oddly the thing that struck me (about the videos) is how difficult it is to demonstrate the subtleties of a boost as each demonstrators amp and guitar tone dominated to such a degree that knowin...

Re: New BOSS pedals!
Hello all, For fun I popped all the pedals I didn't use on a pedalboard rebuild onto a separate board (slightly smaller) and popped on the FRV-1 that I had picked up a few months back. My ears are very picky with reverbs and to be honest I've rarely liked any digital reverb - most are quite "stiff"...

PSE-40A "Professional System Effectors" A new purchase this week, at a very healthy low price, couldn't resist. Especially because the included models had the analogue Delay and Chorus (plus two identical flangers) all set up for Stereo. First impressions: The Analog Delay is WONDERFUL. I've collect...

Re: New BOSS pedals!
Anyway, I am quite pleased to pick up the Made in Japan Waza-fied HM-2, they are very versatile with the powerful EQ, cutting through swathes of delay for shoegaze for example. I am also curious as to whether it does the low voltage octave trick of the early MIJ models. Best octave fuzz in the worl...

Re: New BOSS pedals!
Nice! I didn't know that you don't like distortion too much. The FZ-1w might just be something for me. Ha! Despite collecting a fair few (the DS-1s / earlier RATs / Marshalls etc), I'm not a fan of the hard attack/hard clipping or indeed a great deal of heavy compressed gain. To me it's often "unna...
