OD-2 vs SD-2
The OD-2 and SD-2 seem very similar. Both are dual mode overdrives that can be toggled between lower gain and higher gain settings and both the later OD-2r and the SD-2 have the ability to switch between modes via an external footswitch. I did not know that the OS-2 was similar to a Rat-most people write about it being a DS-1 circuit? Are the DS-1 and Rat circuits similar to begin with or did Boss just go with something completely different for the OS-2? Does Boss make a dedicated distortion pedal similar to the Rat?
