Picked up a couple more yesterday.

Grabbed a Jan 2002 DS1 and June 1993 SD2 yesterday! The DS1 has a Garmopat Mod sticker on it and appears to have some sort of version of the Keeley Seeing Eye Mod, based on the 3 way clipping switch and red LED poking through the o of Tone. Sounds good, and at $50, it was priced less than what most ...

Re: Exterior Maintenance

I would hit that with a bit of non-abrasive car polish. For battery corrosion and proper rust, I clean the area up with vaseline. That neutralises the corrosion and leaves it looking black and clean rather than brown and crusty Same. I might hit it with something like Meguiar's show car glaze. I us...

Re: Guitar Cab Mics

Big fan of the SM57. Also like the older, darker 609. Audix I5 is cool, too.

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals

I sold my vintage Rat pedals about 10 years ago. There are days when I wish I still had one of them :? Nice looking pedal! I landed on a '91 Woodcutter RAT about 8 years ago for $50. I really liked it as it was, but after doing the resistor clip (Ruetz mod done with clippers through the battery com...

Re: Thinking of doing a new pedal design... what are your thoughts about what it should be?

One of my favorite phasers was found on the 79-84ish era Peavey VT/VTX/Solo amplifiers. It was a 2 knob (4-8 stage?) phaser. The cool thing was that (depending on the model) you could turn the rate/range knob all the way counter clockwise or pull the knob out and it would click off the sweep. Then ...

Re: SD-1 diode swapping.

I found this page and it is a little bit of information to help who is looking for a certain kind of sound in the most known Boss "drive" pedals, with visual examples (frequency response analysis and some comments about it). https://guitarpedalsvisualized.wordpress.com/ That's a cool find! I really...

Re: Quick hello and some 90's goodies

Wow! Nice finds!
I love my SD2! Both modes are fully usable, which is a major plus. The FS5L is always attached to it.
My BF2 is the older version with the black knobs, it's also a great pedal.
