If your unit looks the same inside as this one, I don't know why there is a problem to desolder it: I'm not really confident in my soldering ability to removing a board-mounted pot as I have never done it before. I have read that solder needs to hit both sides of the board or something like that? I...

It has 24 pins. I plan to wire 2 pins per unit/switch. But I wanted to ask if this was completely necessary or can they all share the same ground? My first guess is no but I'm sure I could be wrong. The "impractical to carry around to concerts" thing has me stumped. The only thing that I can think of for that is the MuTron. And there aren't any green clones of that. And it hasn't been mentioned. The Line 6 DL4 is another one that is too big to cart around. But no clones of that either. Need mor...
