Re: Peavey Studiopro 110

Thank you! I've lamented before that it isn't possible make a living out of doing this. About 5 hours labour and $30 of parts went into fixing this amp - even with it coming to me for free, at commercial rates that would make the amp cost about 4 times what it is worth :? Ah well, as a hobby it is ...

Re: New BOSS pedals!

Nice! I haven't ever tried a Waza pedal. I'll grab one if it comes up. I will say that the Waza pedals are quite nice. This MT2W is my first personal Waza, but I have played though all the Waza pedals at some point. I'd suggest getting the W version if you don't already have the original version. T...

Grabbed a MT-2W for a steal, virtually brand new in the box with all the paperwork. I have zero use for a high gain, metal pedal, but this was both Made and Inspected IJ from 01/2022, would be an easy flip if I chose to sell, so why not jump? I sold dozens upon dozens of these in the 90s to all the ...

Re: Peavey Studiopro 110

This is a pretty cool era of Peavey. The clean channel is pretty classic, Fender with a Vox hint. The dirt channel is pretty hard hitting, the EQ is very effective. They used this platform across all of their amps of the time. My '91 Bravo was the all tube, 20W 1x12" version of this amp. Same contro...

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals

Picked up a trio of "7" series Ibanez pedals today. DE7, CF7 and TS7. USD$105 for the lot. That is a score! The DE7 alone is worth more than that. The Tone-Loks do have that cool option to use them in a pretty standard, middle-of-the-road mode or in a wacked out mode with the flip of a switch. I ha...

Re: New BOSS pedals!

It is a bit beaten up. Lots of chips and marks, and the potentiometer shaft was slightly bent. Perfect inside. The price was right! This pic is after full disassembly and a through clean in soapy water. . rc-3.jpg Love the beat up exterior. It has looped a lot. ...and probably not properly mounted ...

Re: Boss FS-5U ... need some help

My FS5U is from March, 2000. Made in China. When the switch is closer to the jack: Normally Closed. Away from the jack: Normally Open. This FS5U was bought new 23 years ago, and is used NC exclusively with my DD5. For reference/cross reference with my March, 2009 FS5L, also made in China. When the s...

Re: New BOSS pedals!

The OS-2 is expensive now? There's a few of them listed on my local classifieds for the asking price of $75 to $100 Canadian. That's only like 50 or 75 bucks US... I guess it's relatively expensive now. They were unsellable for a long time, easily found for $20-30, if not given away for free. Once ...
