Re: Lest we forget - NEVER leave a battery in a Boss pedal for "years"

New knobs arrived. Not the same as the original Boss knobs, but they look pretty good to my eye.

Thoughts on a good compressor??

I haven't owned a compressor for years. The last ones were a Boss CS-3 that was underwhelming, and a Keeley 4-knob that I didn't ever bond with.

What are your thoughts about a good compressor? To be used mainly for rock and blues.

Re: Historical Info Site

Great resource! Thank you. I was a kid in school haunting my local guitar store when the early Boss compact pedals came out. TB2 in yellow or is it gold?

Now, a TB1 please in gold!! 8-)
Just the standard boring yellow.

A TB1 ... a possibility. Have to look at the schematic, and the supply of transistors might be problematic. I used to buy them from a supplier in the Ukraine :(

Re: List of sources for (BOSS) pedal replacement parts

I received the offer of calling directly (like Luke Drifter's experience).

If anyone in Canada needs to contact Roland for parts, I have the name and full contact details.

Got it. I use a generic supply for ACA power. I'll keep my eye out for a genuine one for cheap.

New Pedal Day (the most expensive pedal I've ever bought...)

Over in this thread I tried a cheap-and-cheerful Chinese reverb pedal and it was awful: http://www.bossareaforum.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=719 I do have reverb on both my current amps, however: - Each reverb tank is a "one-trick-pony" - The reverb time (decay) isn't particularly long - The Dr Z...
