Im in the final stages of a move and I just got all my extra pedals from storage, Im going to play some riffs on a strat through an HF-2 tonight

I would start by spraying the time knob with deoxit! It is possible to spray into the shaft of the pot without opening the pedal but to get a good spray you do need to disassemble it and get in the opening of the potentiometer.

I know what they did, its a setting called "active range hi" and "active range lo" these settings are crucial to using the expression pedal for switching your most used effects.
