Re: BCB-6G?

Saw one of these pop up in a FB feed. What's the deal with the BCB-6G vs the BCB-6? I don't see any obvious differences other than the cable channel that houses the daisy chain and loop return is not covered with that slide/snap in piece. This is purely for my own info. Web searches only show pics ...

Re: Is it SMT/SMD or not ?

I think I just stumbled in a small piece of information that I never heard about before. It is useful to identify the new SMT/SMD models, specially the SD-1 . All models that were originally thru-hole and by the end of the MIT became SMT (DS-1, MT-2, BD-2, etc.), had it's 9V input jack changed from...

Re: New BOSS pedals!

Yeah! Very cool.Although the OD-2 has to be cranked up all the way to produce a proper volume level at low gain. Yep, I run mine on the lower side of gain and prefer the tone of Turbo mode. The gain never goes above 10 o clock. I find the OD2 used in this way works best with lower output pickups. I...

Re: Garage sale find ... 100% original 1979 Fender Twin

Found one of these today. Silverface, master volume. Been sitting in a basement for probably 20 years. Original tubes! Original caps. Original everything. Will need recap, new tubes, and likely a bunch of other minor repairs. But I have a winter project now :) Wow! Score! I had a 79 Vibrolux (bough...

Re: New BOSS pedals!

Just a plain old 2006 DS-1 but I am very pleased, mint condition, craigslist score for $25 and it was in walking distance of my house! https://i.imgur.com/rdpm9gs.jpg Clean, through hole pedals with the cooler, colorful boxes are such a great score! Getting to walk to the seller is a bonus! I have ...

Re: Million dollar CE-1

This serial plate doesn't have that 70s era look to me, either. The serial plate's wear and tear isn't commensurate with the rest of the pedal, either. Right! Well pointed out. I'm glad you commented on this. I was going to ping ya for your expertise on the subject! :D Not wanting to show the guts ...

Re: GE-10 found this weekend

Cool, what's the normal/eq switch for? It's the 'bypass' for EQ/No EQ. It would be a foot activated switch on most any other pedal. The GE-10 has a "remote" jack. The remote jack simply needs a SPST latching footswitch in a small housing and it will work 100%. Won't affect the tone - it controls a ...

Re: Million dollar CE-1

Although it seems to be a "for export" unit (117 volts, domestic Japanese runs at 100V.), the "serial" is very strange, looks made-up to me. Collectible's price escalade attracted all sort of scalpers and people with dubitable sense of honesty, and Reverb is their headquarters. This serial plate do...

Re: $7,750 pedal....

Let's watch Fulltone and pricing.
Seems that the V1.1 OCDs are going through the roof since there is only about 4500 made, vs the 8000 original Klons.
...now that doesn't factor in the total amount of OCDs produced, which is 200K+.
