I had one, but since I used an amp and speaker sim through headphones I found the low end to be very tiring on my ears.

Cool bass Laurie. I was wondering where that 3rd control is for if it's a passive bass. I reckon the switch maybe single/dual coil, then volume, tone and ??? someting else? Passive filter perhaps? Like the Fender TBX?

I had a PS-6 years ago with a similar problem, the different modes would be all glitchy, some were missing, some were the same no matter where you put the switch, very strange. It got fixed under warranty, but developed the same issue like a year later. I ended up selling it as is.

Picked up an MXR M87 Bass Compressor, it was like new and a really good deal, so why not? I have a 90s era Trace Elliot SMX Dual Compressor (on the big bass board) and a LM2B (on the small bass board), but figured it wouldn't hurt to have a 'modern' bass comp that's not boarded.
