Re: BOSS pedal oddities
Well, you can buy replacement knobs of exactly this kind. I think that's because they were used for some synthesizers and not only for pedals. At least the Berlin-based Banzai Music shop has them in stock. Maybe some peaople kept the white knobs and replaced them with the old type to make their unit...

Re: BOSS pedal oddities
I just stumbled over this strange looking Japanese BOSS HF-2. It has the early BF-2 knobs! I think it's highly unlikely that this is the original state. The HF-2 was introduced in 1985 and I'm pretty sure that also the BF-2 already had the knobs with light grey caps at that time. Before the introduc...

Interesting! This site has been completely unknown to me. Overall it seems like passionately made fan sites have become a rarity these days - and the old ones are vanishing.

Re: All the different DD-3 models
I would miss the split out function in a DSD model. I think the trigger signal needs to be around +5V, not ground. The manual only says that the trigger input receives the signals coming from a drum computer for example.

Re: All the different DD-3 models
Yes, the DSD models have the same long chip as the DD-2.
