Re: Boss Drum Machine Woes

Well, my guess wasn't right then.

I have had troubles with the DR-550 and similar era machines like the Alesis SR-16 developing weird issues if the jog wheel pot starts getting corroded. My last SR-16 had some stuff where it started acting up more on one of the stereo outputs more than the other.

Re: Boss Drum Machine Woes

Does it crackle when you turn the jog wheel on the DR-550?

Re: Pedal Board Projects

10 months after I requested a local builder to make it, he finally finished my quad op amp OD-1 clone, so the board should be in its final form now. Ended up having to shuffle things around, but now it's 1960s-70s on the bottom row and 1980s-2000s on top, in chronological order.

Re: Boss/Roland Catalogue Museum

These are cool. My teenage self loved guitar gear catalogs. I remember each year guitar magazines would have buyer's guides with all of the products each major brand was offering and I would memorize the product specs on everything.

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals

Too bad that the TS5 doesn't belong to the models that had a metal chassis in the first edition. People stepping on and cracking the battery cover was sort of the main design flaw on those, but from my experiences, they actually hold up a bit better than the metal chassis 10 series did. I believe t...

Not a bad guess, zentropa! It's not a Keeley. The pedal's colour is quite similar, but the colour of the original pedal, that this one is mimicking, is another one.
Other guesses would be some form of Nobels ODR-1 or a Wampler Belle

Another hint for what I received from Laurie:
- the colour makes the pedal pretend to have the sound of this famous pedal, but in fact it is a clone of that one with another colour.
Keeley DS-9?

Interesting! But the headroom of the distortion + is really just enough for me and my Stratocaster.
Yeah. Doesn’t do quite as well with my les pauls, sadly.

Headroom is a little bit low, but absolutely okay for me. Nice breakup at minimum gain already.
Both the d+ and the ross definitely have headroom issues. The od250 does not due to the silicon clipping diodes.

Re: New Waza Craft Pedals

The TU-3w is black, so for me, it is different enough to buy for my collection. I bought the BP-1W, FZ-1W, TU-3S and you have made me lean in the direction of buying the CE-2W. I wish they would just release it as the CE-1 or make a CE-1 on compact form. The CE-2W has the volume reduction resistor ...
