Re: Boss NS 2 year of manufacture and version

Argh, I just typed a long post and my PC crashed :( The short version :- I suspect that is a date on the board, its a different font and could be a "shelf life indicator" put on by the board manufacturer. If so it will be in the WWYY format which give the 6th week in 2013. It may be something totall...

Re: Boss NS 2 year of manufacture and version

Are any of the serial number characters readable at all ?

You may be able to date it from the ICs or pots. Feel free to post close ups of any numbers on chips or the pots.

Re: Does something like this exist? (tool to detect hot components)

Laying a hypercolour tshirt on it may well result in fire :o

I would focus on the caps as they tend to heat up and cool more than other components especially the ones around the PSU plus they arent as rigid as chips so move around more.

Re: Does something like this exist? (tool to detect hot components)

Anybody remember hypercolour clothing !!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1tXzUG8Az0  You can get plug in mini IR cameras for mobile phones but I think they are a couple of hundred quid or so. I just wanted to say my first place to look would be a dry joint, most heat related failures from my ...

Re: Roland the land of the rising sound

In terms of actual dusty stuff I have a Korg Delta, Siel Mono, DX11, Roland D110 and programmer and a few other bits and bobs. I have plenty of modern analogue stuff though, volcas, microbrute, waldorf rocket, home made stuff etc. I had an MC202 ad a TR606 which I sold about 6 months before the pric...

Fantastic thanks for posting.

Looks really good so far and what a great way to spend a sunday afternoon. No doubt I will be dusting off a synth or two afterwards.

Re: Pocket Dictionary

Is there any chance the pocket dictionary pdfs might find there way on here again. The old forum used to have a bunch of them plus a few old catalogues. Does anyone have copies of the old pdfs? I think I have the first few of them so could help with the scans if needed. I am not sure what was on th...

I certainly like the look of it, almost hypnotic. I would be tempted to always leave it in a perfect sinewave after each use.

Re: Guitar Player Boss Compact Pedals

I am happy to host anything that isnt blatant copyright infringement. This PDF incredibly has no restrictions, I guess its basically a huge advert for Boss and Guitar Player so why wouldnt they want it spread around :)

All thanks funneled to guitar player for creating it in the first place :)
